Abstract

An inclusive environment implies the accessibility of social infrastructure facilities for people with disabilities, which includes the creation of conditions for equal access to all infrastructure facilities. Using methods of analyzing scientific literature, including research in the field of sociology, the author emphasizes that the isolation of people with disabilities is often associated not so much with their physical or mental characteristics, but with the insufficient development of social infrastructure. The article examines the state and prospects for the development of social infrastructure in the territory of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic, aimed at ensuring accessibility and equal opportunities for people with various disabilities. The author emphasizes that despite the existing efforts to improve the infrastructure, problems with access to public facilities and services remain relevant. Frequently encountered barriers, such as poor condition of sidewalks, lack of specialized vehicles, as well as the lack of ramps and elevators in public buildings, limit the opportunities for the full participation of people with disabilities in society. To create an inclusive environment, it is necessary to provide a barrier-free environment in social infrastructure facilities. Elements of such an environment may include lifting devices, ramps, elevators, sidewalks with special coating, wide doorways and other elements that facilitate free movement and equal access to various public and private facilities. The key factor for the development of an inclusive environment in Pridnestrovie is a comprehensive approach that includes not only the physical accessibility of social infrastructure facilities, but also a change in public consciousness aimed at recognizing the rights of people with disabilities to equality and participation in social life.
